Golf GPS Watch Review Series: The Bushnell Neo Ion
We’re back with another golf GPS watch review and today we’re covering the Bushnell Neo Ion rangefinder watch. Check out the photo below of this stylish GPS wristwatch.
It comes loaded with over 36,000 courses in more than 30 countries and no membership fees. Plus you get a 1 year warranty guaranteeing it free of defects.
Take a look at the digital screen and you’ll see distance to the center as well as approximate distances to the front and back of the green. The display area is 23mm x 23mm and it weighs almost two ounces, making it a lightweight wrist watch.
Now to the important stuff that you likely care most about when deciding on which golf GPS rangefinder watch to buy.
Starting with battery life, this Bushnell GPS watch can last up to 16 hours between charges which should cover about 3 rounds of golf. Recharge time takes around 2.5 hours.
The Bushnell Neo Ion Rangefinder Watch is waterproof so if you happen to fall into the pond looking for your golf ball, no worries about your GPS watch breaking.
What about hazards? Does the Bushnell tell you how far to the water? Yes, it does that too. It gives distances to hazards helping you learn lay up distances or how far you need to muscle it over.
Distances to the green and hazards is nice, but this handy GPS watch also tracks individual shot distances so if you’re curious how far you just smashed a drive, you’ll know.
Comfort is a solid 10/10 thanks to the double injected silicon band that wraps around your wrist. And style is also a 10/10. I like the white with blue contrast look.
Lastly, this GPS watch is legal for tournament play. According to Bushnell’s website, this particular GPS rangefinder complies with USGA rule 14-3/.05.
