How the Pelz Golf Putting Tutor Helps Your Putting Skills?
The Pelz Putting Tutor is used and endorsed by several golf professionals including Phil Mickelson. It’s designed to serve as an alignment aid to help you check your putting stroke and make sure your face is square to the ball at address as well as throughout the strike.
This will help your putts start on line better and in turn result in more balls dropping into the cup. The more you can one putt, the better your golf scores will get and it starts with proper alignment during your setup.
Check Your Putting Stroke
The putting tutor has two marbles at its front edge, which tell you whether or not you’ve just made a “pure strike” and started a putt on line. If your putt dislodges a marble, it means your ball started off-line.
Improve Your Green Reading
The Pelz Putting Tutor has a red line right down the center to help you aim putts at the line you are intending and will give you feedback on your green reading skills. Learn how much putts break simply by adjusting the aim of the putting tutor higher or lower, until well struck putts go in the hole.
Check Your Eye Position at Address
The tutor’s eye position stripes allow you to verify consistent eye position at address. I’m sure you knew this, but consistent eye position is necessary for great putting fundamentals.
Square the Putter at Address
The tutor’s flat back edge helps you square your putter face at address. This is good feedback because: you cannot learn how much a putt breaks if you hit it poorly. Learning if a putt started on line or off line will help you learn if it was misjudging the break or if it was just a mis-hit but correct green read.

Gate Drill – Marble Positions
There are 3 different marble “Gate” positions (standard, Pro and super Pro) to help you practice hitting putts on line from the start. If you’re putter face isn’t square at impact, the ball will start off-line and will bump into these marbles, giving you feedback. The super pro position tightens your margin of error testing your skills to keep the putts dead straight!
What Size is the The Pelz Golf Putting Tutor?
The Pelz Golf Putting Tutor is 9.4 inches long and 5.9 inches wide. This makes it very compact and portable to carry in your golf bag for easy use on practice days. Store it away until you want to pull it out and check your putting alignment.
