2019 Richest Golfers in the World

Professional golf may be the dream career of many avid golfers but a lot of hard work, commitment, and talent is required before being a professional. Those who were successful with being Professional Golfers Association (PGA) professional players focus and spend a lot of time practicing and playing in tournaments.

According to the Tour’s earning list, players at the bottom of the ranking can earn as little as $6,000 annually but those at the top can earn millions of dollars through playing in tournaments, work as a product spokesperson, and endorsements.


Jordan Spieth – $100 Million

One of the players at the top of the rankings as the richest golfers is Jordan Spieth, having an approximate computation of his net worth at $100 million.

With this amount, 30% of it came from his recent sponsorship deals and winnings, accumulating a total of $41.2 million of earnings in the year of 2017.

Spieth, at the age not older than 26, has won a total of 11 PGA Tours already.

Being renowned as a professional in terms of golfing, he was given a lot of opportunities to improve his career and of course he earned a lot of money from it afterwards.

Given that information, the legendary golfer signed a lot of endorsements namely “Under Armour”, “Coca Cola”, etc. and is being paid around $30 million alone from them.

Fred Couples – $150 Million

Next on top is Fred Couples with the estimated net worth of $150 million. The professional American golfer has competed in the PGA Tour and the PGA Tour Champions and is a  former World No. 1.

Most of his net worth is from his endorsements with Ecco golf shoes and other brand-names, and profession wins.

During his matches in different open championships, most of the golfers named him as a King because he got a position in most matches due to his exceptional ability to play.

Couples’ annual income is estimated between $4.7 million and $5.2 million.

Gary Player – $250 Million

Another professional golfer to talk about is Gary Player, one of the greatest players in the history of golf.

As of 2019, he has the estimated net worth of $250 million which is built through his business, corporate sponsors such as Callaway, Rolex, SAP and from licensing deals and real estate ventures.

Per annum, his salary is $14 million some of which he uses to contribute to the people and to the society.

Phil Mickelson – $400 Million

Phil Mickelson is also an admired name in the world of golf. He has been in to so many victories and defeats but even so, he has been such an exceptional player and performed greatly during the PGA Tours.

Mickelson also made a lot of money throughout the tournaments and endorsements he has.

His net worth could be worth up to $400 million and his annual salary is approximately $4.3 million.

He also made an estimate of $37 million in endorsement deals alone, including Rolex, Amgen, Callaway Golf, and Workday among some of his partnerships.

Tiger Woods – $800 Million

At the very top of the Richest Golfers 2019 ranking is the very well-known and successful Tiger Woods with the net worth of $800 million and the salary at the amount of $115 million per year.

He has won 81 PGA Tour Victories and also has endorsement deals with Nike, Titleist, and All Star Café which added a great deal to his net worth.

He was once titled the world’s 16th highest-paid athlete by Forbes and we can clearly see why.
